What is a Hot Stone Massage?
This is a massage with heated lava stones made of basalt. The stones are heated with a water bath at about 60°C and placed on the body. The heat penetrates deep into the respective body regions and thus promotes blood circulation and relaxes the muscles. This type of massage was already used in Asia for relaxation in 200 BC, but the Hot Stone Massage also developed in America and the entire Pacific region.
